By combining the web's advantages with the functions of a personal genealogy program (think Legacy, Family Tree Maker, etc: but with a shared database), ANZGDB is rapidly gaining popularity as the best place to create, publish, and share our family stories. A place where our precious memories can be recorded before they are lost for ever.

Our dream is that this becomes the place where we research and record our family history, that eventually the system will contain a record of every ancestor of every New Zealander and every Australian, and that these records will contain the best information available about their subject. We’re well on our way. We already offer rich facilities to create and publish your information, link it to other records, and communicate with other people with a common interest.

You will have to register, but registration is free, searching is free, storing your records is free, and retrieving your own records is, and ALWAYS will be, free, and resource files are free. However, a small subscription is needed to see the detail of somebody else's records.
